The American Library of Congress is a wonderful resource for learning about our history and the people who influenced our country. Thanks to the Internet, we can learn from the articles and artwork contained withing the Library from our own homes. Whether you're simply curious as to what happened on this day in history, or your student is researching for a paper, this is a valuable resource to have bookmarked for future reference.
Be sure to click on the "Teachers" tab and see all the resources that are available to help us teach history including a blog with helpful hints, teacher created lesson plans, information on how to obtain resource material, and more. I also like that there is a tab for "ask a librarian" if I have questions or trouble locating a resource.
