Summer is quickly approaching. Whether you school year round or you take a break for the summer, its nice to have activities for the kids to do. Personally, I'm looking forward to shoving them out the back door with a sprinkler and some sunscreen and letting them figure it out. But, I know having a variety of activities is good too.
Do your kids like to bowl?
We grew fond of bowling during the summer when we lived in the Southwest. It was a fun time in an air conditioned space. I am very thankful for programs like KidsBowlFree where you can register and then receive vouchers to take your kids in for free bowling sessions during the summer. We are really looking forward to taking advantage of this program again this summer.
Take a look at the website to see if there is a bowling alley in your area that hosts this activity. Many bowling alleys these days are smoke-free. This is a welcome change from my youth when I can remember choking on the nicotine fog that seemed to surround these establishments. Invite a few friends to come along or use it as a family outing. And, enjoy your time at the alley!
